After returning from World War II, Robert Glier became an apprentice sausage maker. He bought a shop with his wife, Louise, and began making his special-recipe for a unique German dish known as goetta - a sausage made of pork, beef, steel-cut oats and seasonings that was a local favorite of the time. However, it was Glier’s Goetta that stood out from the rest, and the demand for this regional breakfast food boomed. Goetta, also known as “Cincinnati Caviar”, remains as popular as ever in the Queen City. And today, it can be enjoyed as patties, Goettadogs and even Goettaburgers!
You can find all of Glier’s Goetta products right here, including their famous goetta, goettadogs, goettaburgers, brats & metts, and gear telling people to “Goetta Life!”
